So there's this old wives' tale about finding out the sex of your baby by holding a wedding ring on a chain in front of your belly. If the ring goes back & forth, it's a girl; if it goes in circles, it's a boy. When we went to visit Simon & Briony & Inara today, Briony borrowed her mum's chain and Simon's dad's wedding ring and held it in front of my belly. She says she's never seen it be wrong.

And the ring on the chain went in a little circle. Twice. So we've got two non-medical predictions of us having a boy.

And we had a little discussion about how Simon will be once Inara reaches dating age, and that if we're having a boy, he could quite possibly be a candidate.

And Simon nearly died ;-)
