Parody of “Travelog” by Daniel Amos (Parody by Weird Alex)
This river channels out to another shore
My boat’s a clumsy barge heading for a shoal
Confused I now consult my jungle guide
And all he tells me, just gets lost in my mind as I
Hunt in the moonlight
Hunt in the moonlight
Hunt in the moonlight
For my
Albatross
I laugh, I cry, as every half an hour
Reminds of a Python sketch, in days gone by
I’m given zero time in which to catch my breath again
To me, my only vision, is my strong perception
Here in the moonlight
Here in the moonlight
Here in the moonlight
Of an
Albatross
Wet on the swampy field, through quag and mire
I navigate myself through fields unknown
A big old bird now greets me like we’re old spies
At him I fire my weapon, to me he shows derision
Lost in the moonlight
Found in the moonlight
Here in the moonlight
With my
Albatross.
